The gut health brand, Symprove, has been acquired by Metagenics, it’s been confirmed.
In a statement Metagenics said that, built on a shared commitment to help as many people as possible live happier and healthier lives, it was thrilled to welcome Symprove to the Metagenics family. As the UK’s most recommended probiotic by healthcare practitioners, Symprove strengthens its shared commitment to clinical trust, quality and measurable outcomes, Metagenics added.

Symprove was founded in 2002 by Barry Smith, who spent nearly 40 years developing the brand from a fledgling idea to a biotech company .
