Weleda has scooped a prestigious accolade in recognition of its efforts championing eco-friendly and ethical practices.

The RHS Chelsea Sustainable Excellence Awards recognise brands championing eco-friendly and ethical consumerism. At a special presentation hosted by business leader, Deborah Meaden OBE, Weleda received the award for Best Sustainable Business of the Year 2026.

It comes as Weleda has begun a landmark three-year partnership with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which saw Weleda UK unveil its dedicated Chelsea Flower Show garden feature stand, celebrating 100 years of the iconic Skin Food range. As official skincare partner to RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Weleda was present across the showground, offering visitors and exhibitors hands-on access to its award-winning natural skincare. The brand’s spacious Main Avenue stand was packed with beautiful botanicals inspired by Weleda’s Demeter-certified organic herb gardens in Derbyshire, showcasing its long-standing commitment to biodynamic growing, regenerative agriculture, and plant-powered formulation. Weleda has also created the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Special Edition Skin Food Hand Care Collection with gardeners’ hard-working hands in mind. Formulated with 100 per cent natural origin ingredients and inspired by the brand’s botanical heritage, the boxed hand wash and hand lotion duo reflects Weleda’s signature approach to sensorial, sustainable skincare rooted in nature.

Nadine-Helene Santiago, Weleda Chief Sustainability Officer, accepted the award, commenting: “We are incredibly honoured to be named the Winner of the RHS Chelsea Sustainable Business of the Year 2026. In this special year, as we celebrate 100 years of Weleda Skin Food, this recognition means a great deal to us. Sustainability has been at the heart of Weleda for over a century – rooted in our commitment to work in harmony with nature and the human being. This award reflects the dedication of our teams and partners, and we are especially proud of our three-year partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society to bring an even stronger sustainability focus to Chelsea Flower Show. Together, we can inspire meaningful change and show that business can be a force for good.”

The RHS judging panel for the Sustainable Excellence Awards 2026 included sustainability expert, Professor Chris Harrop OBE, Meaden, and landscape designer and trustee of the Sustainable Landscape Foundation, Andree Davies. The judges were particularly impressed by Weleda’s approach: working at eye level with nature, restoring soils, protecting biodiversity, empowering communities, designing product, and infrastructure that work in harmony with nature.
