New Technical Manager joins HFMA

The Heath Food Manufacturers’ Association (HFMA) has announced the appointment of a new Technical Manager.

Houaida Alawieh joins the organisation with a wealth of experience and insight, with a specialist knowledge of food legislation, regulatory affairs and industry best practices, and extensive experience in the global regulatory affairs domain.

Working closely with CLEAR CHECK, Houaida will be assisting with technical queries, as well as keeping up to date with technical and regulatory issues and how they may affect members and the industry.

Along with the CLEAR CHECK team and the scientific and technical advisors, the role of Technical Manager adds another layer of advice, insight and expertise that is available to HFMA members and their regulatory and marketing teams.

Martin Last, HFMA Director General, commented: “I am extremely pleased to welcome Houaida to the team. Her experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the HFMA and our members. Her appointment brings the team back to full contingent and will allow us to continue to support the members and the industry with all aspects of technical, regulatory, legislative, and political affairs. Members will have to opportunity to meet Houaida at the forthcoming AGM and the Technical Working Group meetings. We all wish her well in her new role and look forward to working with her.”
