Amaranth is in the running for a major award in recognition of its skill and innovation.

The health food store, owned by Joanne Hill and situated in Bramhall, Cheshire, has been shortlisted in the Small Awards, run by Small Business Britain designed to celebrate the nation’s outstanding small business community, their successes and resilience.

Amaranth is among 90 small businesses selected as a finalist, having been shortlisted in the Bricks and Clicks category for best small businesses using multiple channels with innovation and skill.

Michelle Ovens CBE, Founder of Small Business Britain, commented: “Small businesses are the engine of the nation’s economy, and we are so proud to have spent a decade championing them in our Small Awards. Each year we are delighted to see hundreds of entries spanning every sector imaginable. These organisations bring jobs and community to their local areas and deserve their contributions to be recognised. We are thrilled with this year’s shortlist and to have seen a record number of entries. We look forward to meeting our finalists in person in May.”

Commenting on being shortlisted, Joanne (pictured centre) told Health Food Business: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted. We’ve worked hard to ensure our online offering reflects the same personalised care we provide in-store, supporting our customers with nutrition plans, wellbeing and lifestyle advice wherever they are. It’s an important step in strengthening our brand for the future and giving our customers convenience and choice.”

Judged by a panel of industry experts, the winners of all categories and the overall winner of Small Business of the Year, will be announced at an awards night in London on May 21.
