A Nelsons-sponsored garden has scooped a gold award. The Breast Cancer Haven Artisan Garden won Gold and People’s Choice Awards at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.
Masterminded and created by RHS multi-award-winning garden designer, Sarah Eberle, it featured an original willow woven oak leaf ‘nest’ sculpture by acclaimed artist, Tom Hare.
The garden was designed to symbolise and raise awareness of the comforting and uplifting support programme and free complementary therapies The Haven provides for breast cancer sufferers and survivors and their relatives, from the calm feelings that it evoked to the therapeutic plants and materials used. Materials in the willow ‘nest’ and the oak pathway for example, are also used for some of the Bach flower essences that Nelsons manufactures.
