Helping people make the transition to veganism is the purpose of a new organisation.
The Vegan Lifestyle Association has been set up to show people how easy it is to be vegan through a variety of free, online resources. The founders are also setting up a membership option, giving people access to vegan product discounts, one-to-one advice, recipes and videos.
Founding Director, Chantal Denny, who set up the not-for-profit association with David Harrow, explained: “In the past, veganism has been given a really bad reputation for being a bit of a hippy fad. There are so many negative stereotypes surrounding it that we really wanted to dispel the myths and proactively help people see the benefits.
“We’ll show you the sheer diversity of the fantastic options available to easily live a compassionate vegan lifestyle. From giving recipe ideas and cooking tips to letting people know the best products on the market, we aim to support those thinking about going vegan and those struggling with being vegan as well as people who have perhaps been vegan for years.”
The association will be officially up and running from October, and has 30 dedicated contributors on hand to offer a new perspective on contemporary veganism.
“This organisation has been a long time in the planning so we’re really hoping people get behind it and celebrate this new way of vegan living,” she added.
