Next September will see the launch of a brand new trade show targeted at Irish health food stores and pharmacies.
The Irish Health Trade Association (IHTA) is hosting The Natural Health Expo at the RDS Industries Hall, in Dublin, on September 20-21.
It comes following the closure of the Rude Health Show, which was backed by the Irish Association of Health Stores and was both a trade and consumer show.
The organisers say the event is being held as demand for natural health products soars, and is described as the only natural health trade exhibition targeting health store and pharmacy retailers in Ireland.
The event will showcase natural food, health and beauty product suppliers as well as highlight the latest trends and developments in the wellness industry at home and abroad.
“The Natural Health Expo is an important new event for Ireland’s health and wellness suppliers and buyers,” commented IHTA General Secretary, Phil Costigan.
“A recent Bord Bia study found that concerns about chemicals in food, drink and cosmetics is fuelling the interest in natural, minimally processed products.
“By hosting The Natural Health Expo, we are supporting the natural health industry, promoting the best natural products that Ireland has to offer, and ensuring that Irish consumers have access to natural health products and traditional health medicines that are safe, effective and of high quality.”
The event is expected to attract up to 100 exhibitors, which is being targeted at health store owners and managers, pharmacists, pharmacy retailers and group purchasing managers, nutritionists, natural practitioners, wellness professionals, beauticians and spa owners, managers and therapists.
In addition to the exhibition, there will also be a busy programme of events, including the IHTA Information Exchange, where health and wellness professionals can gather to hear about the latest developments in the industry.
